Seasonal employment from 3 to 9 months

Seasonal employment from 3 to 9 months is a type of temporary labor employment that spans a period of three to nine months within any 12-month period. It is typical for work activities carried out during specific seasons or peak periods of intensive production or commercial activity. This type of employment is primarily established and regulated in: agriculture, forestry, and fishing, as well as hospitality and catering.
A long-term residence permit for employment as a seasonal worker is issued to a foreigner who meets the conditions for access to the labor market under Bulgarian legislation and holds a visa. The permit may be extended once within the 9-month period if the employment contract continues with the same employer or if there is a change of employer. The foreigner may use this right once within the validity period of the seasonal worker permit.
